Amar Subba Marathon Man of Sikkim is all set to participate in the Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon 2025.
May 19,2025:
Mr Amar Subba arrived at Kathmandu on May 18 to participate in Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon to be held on May 29 in the Everest region at the invitation of the organizer of the Everest Marathon. He is leaving Kathmandu on May 20 for Lukla, Gateway to the Everest Region together with other 280 participants coming from 35 Countries. He has been invited by Mr Bikram PandeKaajii who is also the Honorary Consul General of Greece to Nepal and the Goodwill Ambassador of Lord Buddha appointed by the Government of Nepal. He belongs to PandeKaaji family who unified Nepal.
This is the second time Mr Subba is running the Everest Marathon. In 2017 he ran the Everest Marathon for the first time. The objective of inviting him is to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Statehood of Sikkim and to foster the friendly relationship between Nepal and Sikkim,India. He will also plant the Rhododendron sapling in the Everest region as a part of the Event to address the Climate Change in the region. Rhododendron is the good food for Musk Deer. Mr Amar Subba is the Goodwill Ambassador of the Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon 2025.
According to Mr PandeKaajii,Mr, Amar Subba will be conferred with The Gorkha Glory for his contribution given to Gorkhali Community in Sikkim, India as a Marathon Man. The cash award of Rs, 8,848 will be given to him which Symbolizes the height of Mount Everest along with the Certificate after coming back from the Everest Marathon.
Amar Subba says, " This is a proud moment for me to represent Sikkim, India in the Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon. I believe that it inspires the future generation to excel in sports by choosing the sports, not the Drugs. I hope I will give the best performance in the Everest Marathon. I along with entire Sikkimese extend heartfelt thanks to Mr Bikram PandeKaajii for giving me this opportunity second time to participate the Everest Marathon 2025".
