NSS convention at New Delhi 2025
Namchi, 29 April: It was a matter of great pride for Centre for Computers and Communication Technology (CCCT), Chisopani that our National Service Scheme (NSS) Coordinator, Mr. Tenzing Sherpa, Sr. Lecturer represented our state at the prestigious NSS Convention held in New Delhi on 25th and 26th April, 2025.
The delegates had the privilege of meeting Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Hon'ble Minister for Youth and Sports and Smt. Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Hon'ble Minister of State(MoS) for Youth and Sports on the first day. The delegates were enlightened by the inspiring speech delivered by the Hon'ble Minister, emphasizing the spirit of NSS volunteerism.
Opportunity to present various new initiatives undertaken by respective state was given in which, our state's unique and timely theme, "Clean the Drain Before Rain," was highly appreciated.
On the second day, the session was addressed by Sri Srihan Pal Singh, a close aid of former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. His motivating words left a deep impact on all participants, encouraging them to work with greater passion and vision.
Sharing his experience, Mr. Tenzing Sherpa expressed,
"I would like to thank the NSS officers from Sikkim for giving me the opportunity to represent the state in the NSS Convention. It has given me a new dimension on how to work as a volunteer leader and make the state proud."
