Two-Days Residential Training on NSSK for Health Workers
Gyalshing,March 20:
A two-day residential training on Neonatal Stabilization and Skilled Care (NSSK) was conducted for health workers under the West District at Tendrel Inn Hotel, Gyalshing, on 18th and 19th March. The training was organized by the District Hospital, Gyalshing, with the aim of enhancing the skills of health professionals in newborn care and resuscitation.
The inaugural session was graced by PDHS cum CMO, West, Dr Bikash Pradhan who emphasized the importance of NSSK in reducing neonatal mortality and improving healthcare delivery. Other dignitaries present included DRCHO and APO-RCH, West Sikkim.
The training was facilitated by resource persons from Gangtok and District Hospital, Gyalshing, who conducted interactive sessions, demonstrations, and hands-on training to equip participants with essential neonatal care techniques.
The event successfully concluded with positive feedback from participants, highlighting the relevance of the training in strengthening newborn healthcare services in the district with distribution of certificates of participation to the participants.
