Education Department Launches E-Office System
The Education Department, in partnership with the IT Department, officially launched the E Office system at the Directorate of Higher, Technical, and Medical Education on February 17, 2025.
The launch event was graced by Hon'ble Minister Shri Raju Basnet, Minister of Education, Sports, and Youth Affairs, and the Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department. Also present were Shri R. Telang, Chief Secretary, Shri Tashi Chopel, Secretary, and other key officials from both the Education and IT Departments.
During his address, he emphasized that the E-Office system will replace the traditional manual file management system, streamlining administrative processes and enhancing file tracking and record-keeping.
This initiative marks a significant technological advancement, aimed at improving efficiency and ensuring greater transparency within the department. This step of reducing the dependency on physical files, will further help in contributing towards a greener and more sustainable work
environment.
The officials from the Directorate were provided training by IT Department officials to ensure a smooth transition. This technological shift aims to significantly enhance the Directorate’s operational efficiency, enabling faster processing and more effective management of records.
