The jawans of the 1st IRBn Wazirabad, New Delhi celebrated the 76th Republic with great patriotic fervour.
Mr Palden Bhutia, Commandant, unfurled the national tricolour after receiving a guard of honour from the IRBn jawans. The final match of the open table tennis tournament was also held during the event, where Mr Bhutia presented medals and cash awards to the winners.
Commendation certificates were awarded to blood donors from the Battalion in recognition of their selfless service to humanity. Additionally, two jawans from each company received certificates of appreciation from the Commandant for their exemplary performance and high standards of discipline.
The celebration concluded with an open football match between the 1st IRBn XI and Meghalaya Police XI. The 1st IRBn XI secured victory with a solitary goal, and the winning team was awarded a trophy and medals.
