Press Statement on SAMRIDDHI 2025 from Education Department

SAMRIDDHI State Level Competition for 2024-2025 was organized by Education Department, under the aegis of Samagra Shiksha in the Auditorium of SCERT, Lower Burtuk, Gangtok on 17th January, 2025. The event was graced by Shri Sonam Denzongpa, Principal Director, Education Department, Government of Sikkim, Dr. Rabin Chhetri, Director (SCERT), Joint Director (SCERT), Joint Director (SE) and Chief Education Officer, Gangtok District and representatives from DIET and SCERT, Gangtok.
The Programme started with the Inaugural Session where Welcome Address and brief overview of SAMRIDDHI 2024-2025 was presented by Mrs. Asha Khatri, Joint Director (SS) -cum-Nodal Officer for Kala Utsav, Education Department. Principal Director in his address appreciated the initiative taken by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India and also appreciated the concept of teaching lessons integrated with art forms. He also urged more teachers to participate in the next edition of SAMRIDDHI.
SAMRIDDHI 2024-2025 is the 1st Edition initiated by the Ministry of Education, Government of India to foster and showcase the creativity and ingenuity of the teachers teaching at secondary level. It is a platform for the teachers to explore and celebrate arts and cultural diversity, integrate them in their classroom transaction for making the class child centric.
SAMRIDDHI Competition for State Level 2024-2025 had the participation of 08 schools with 09 teachers from four districts of the state where 06 were female and 03 were male teachers on four subjects viz; Science (Chemistry/Physics), Social Science (History/Geography), Mathematics and English. The performances of all the 09 teachers were wonderful and innovative.
A Panel of 04 Judges from SCERT & Harkamaya B.Ed College, Tadong, 1. Ms. Ranju Pradhan (Assistant Professor, SCERT – English ), 2. Mr. Manorath Dahal, (Assistant Professor, SCERT – Social Science ), 3. Mr. Dhiraj Sharma, (Assistant Professor, SCERT – Mathematics) and Ms. Sunita Rani Mahopatra, Assistant Professor, Harkamaya B.Ed. College – Science) graced the occasion as the Jury Members who evaluated the Performances and accordingly the winners of today’s SAMRIDDHI State Level Competition 2024-2025 (1st Edition) are as under:

The winners were awarded with cash prize, trophy & certificates and the winner who has secured first position will proceed for SAMRIDDHI National Level Competition 2025 (1st Edition) which is tentatively scheduled in the 1st Week of February, 2025.
The programme concluded with the valuable feedback and suggestions by the Judges and the certificates along-with prize money were awarded to the winners by Dr. Rabin Chhetri, Director (SCERT), Education Department. Finally, the programme culminated with vote of thanks proposed by Shri Kalzang Tashi Bhutia, APC/SS, Samagra Shiksha, Education Department.
