TRAINING ON PANCHAYAT DEVELOPMENT PLAN (PDP)
Gyalshing, December 07: District Level Training on Panchayat Development Plan was organized by STATE INSTITUTE OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT & PANCHAYATI RAJ, RDD Government of Sikkim in collaboration with OFFICE OF THE ADDITIONAL DISTRICT COLLECTOR (DEV) Gyalshing,today.
The training focused on the preparation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan, People’s Plan Campaign (PPC).
The training commenced with a welcome speech by Mr Garap Dorjee Bhutia BDO Gyalshing emphasizing on the importance of GPDP and the roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders.
Mr Shiva Panday SIRD Field Facilitator, presented a detailed Presentation on GPDP preparation cycle.
The participants consisted of Panchayat Inspectors, APOs, Jr-VAAs, PDAs and GRSs from all five Blocks under Gyalshing District.
Additionally,a brief presentation on the Status and Progress of MGNREGA was presented by Resource Person-APO Mr. Laxuman Chhetri.
A thorough Presentation on the Survey and Registration process for PMAY-G was presented by Resource Person-APO Mr. Khushendra Sharma.
Ms Yangchenla Bhutia,SBM State Resource Person, presented the Status of SBM activities under Gyalshing District and apprised regarding the completion timeframe. The discussion also focused on the District’s aim to sustain the ODF Plus Model status through Soild and Liquid waste management.
The training concluded with a post training assessment and a feedback session which was conducted online.
