Successful Completion of Skill Training for Rural Youth on Mushroom Cultivation at Premlakha Subaneydara GPU under Regu Block Regu Block, Premlakha Subaneydara
Pakyong, December 07:
ATMA Pakyong successfully concluded the Skill Training for Rural Youth (STRY) on Mushroom Cultivation at Premlakha Subaneydara, Regu Block, with a certificate distribution ceremony for the trainees who completed the 6-day training programme.
The ceremony, held at Premlakha Subaneydara GPK, was graced by several dignitaries, including Hon’ble Panchayat VP LB Magar, Panchayat Member Karma Wangdhi Sherpa, Dy Director of Horticulture Geeta Chettri, Regu Block Circle Incharge MB Sunwar, Agriculture Staff Durga Psd Sharma and Pradip Magar, and Resource Person Shri Durga Psd Dawari. Farmers and field staff from the Horticulture Department were also present, marking the event as a significant occasion for the local farming community.
The programme was chaired by Dy Director of Horticulture, Geeta Chettri, who emphasised the importance of applying the knowledge and skills gained through the training. In her address, she encouraged the trainees to make the best use of the resources and inputs provided and to aim for large-scale production of organic mushrooms. She also motivated them to compete with commercial mushroom producers, assuring full support from the department for their future endeavours.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Circle Incharge Shri M. B. Sunwar, who expressed his gratitude to all attendees and reiterated the importance of the training programme in empowering local farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
The overall distribution programme was deemed highly successful and beneficial to the farmers of Regu Block, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for thriving in the mushroom cultivation industry.
