Sikkim's U-11 Badminton Team to Participate in Mini Nationals in Thane, Maharashtra
The Badminton Association of Sikkim (BAS) is proud to announce that Sikkim’s U-11 Boys and Girls Badminton team will be participating in the prestigious U-11 Mini Nationals 2024. Organized by the Badminton Association of India, the tournament is scheduled to take place in Thane, Maharashtra, from December 4 to 7, 2024.
The Sikkim contingent will consist of two talented young players and two officials, under the able leadership of Chief Coach Mr. Sameer Gurung. The players representing Sikkim are:
Avnesh Chettri
Suravi Gurung
The team has undergone rigorous training under the guidance of Mr. Sameer Gurung, ensuring they are well-prepared to compete against the best talent from across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, the General Secretary of the Badminton Association of Sikkim expressed confidence in the team, saying, "We are immensely proud of our young players and their dedication to the sport. This is a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their skills on a national platform, and we are confident they will make Sikkim proud."
