Today on date: 02/10/2024 A Special Gram Sabha was conducted on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Closing Ceremony of Sampoornata Abhiyan under Aspirational Block Programme Chumbung Block at 14- Chakung GPU. The Sabha was chaired by Panchayat President Smt. Karuna Darnal. Also present were Panchayat Members, SDM (Soreng District), BDO (Chumbung- Chakung), Joint Director (Education Department), CDPO (Women and Child Development Department), Medical Officers (Health Department), Sr. Welfare Officer (Soreng), Assistant Director (Education Department, Assitant Director, 14-Chakung GPU, HDO (Horticulture), Agriculture Inspector, Nurses and staffs (PHSC, Chakung) Aspirational Block Fellow, Gandhi Fellow, office staffs, senior citizens and general public of 14- Chakung GPU.
The Sabha celebrated the successful completion of the Sampoornata Abhiyan, which was commenced on 4th July and concluded on 30th September 2024.This initiative focused on 6 indicators such as health and nutrition, education, agriculture, etc. Contributions from various departments and volunteers were also recognized. Also, International girl child day was celebrated and Millet based biscuit was distributed to the Adolescent girls of Chakung GPK.
Also the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) for the year 2025- 26 was successfully launched. Various Agenda’s were also discussed such as aim and objectives of Gram Sabha and GPDP, LSDG Themes, Agriculture related soil health cards, Educational outreach and health related agenda’s. Pledge for the Preamble, Swachha Bharat Mission, drug abuse awareness, cleanliness, Fit India, and leprosy awareness was also taken.
