As a part of Gandhi Jayanti Celebration, Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur visited New Sir Thutob Namgyal Memorial Hospital, Sochakgang today. Hon’ble Governor inspected the hospital premises, interacted with inpatients and distributed nutritional food packets to the patients.
The Hon’ble Governor also engaged with the Medical Superintendent and officials and sought information about the services offered and the availability of medical facilities in the largest government hospital in the State.
The Hon’ble Governor was accompanied by Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Shri Santosh Kumar Jha, Shri JD Bhutia, Secretary to the Hon’ble Governor; Dr Ruth Yonzon, Medical Superintendent; Dr DB Bista, Director STNM; Dr Chintamani Sharma, Additional Medical Superintendent, Shri Khemraj Bhattarai, Additional Secretary to the Hon’ble Governor; and other medical officers and staff from STNM and Raj Bhavan.
