PRESS RELEASE FROM PM SHRI GOVERNMENT SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL SORENG.

As a part of prestigious National Integration Programme sponsored by the Sikkim Scouts First Battalion in collaboration with the Indian Army, a group of selected students along with two escort teachers from PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School Soreng embarked on a 13 days tour to various significant and prominent locations across India including New Delhi, Punjab, Lucknow and Chandigarh.
The student had the rare opportunity of meeting the Hon’ble President of India at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on 25 September, 2024. The students were given warm welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Hon’ble President interacted with students, encouraging them to promote national harmony and unity.
The student delegation of our school presented a special memento to Hon’ble President of India. The meeting concluded with a group photograph with the President, leaving students with the memories to cherish forever.
The National Integration Programme by the Indian Army is a remarkable initiative that works towards uniting the youths of India transcending, regional, cultural and ethnic differences. Further it aims at fostering unity and national pride among the students.
