Mangan Nagar Panchayat.
Today 21.9.2024 Observing Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign, Mangan Nagar Panchayat organised Programme on segregation of Municipal Waste at Material Recovery Facility of the ULB.
The programme was participated by Hon'ble Minister cum Area MLA, Lachen Mangan, Shri Samdup Lepcha accompanied by DM Mangan Shri Anant Jain.
The programme also had participation of Shri Nim Tshering Lepcha, Former Chairman, Welfare Commission, Hon'ble Municipal President MNP Smt Norkit Lepcha & Hon'ble Councillors of Mangan Nagar Panchayat.
All the SHGs under Mangan Nagar Panchayat also participated in the event.
The Hon'ble Minister accompanied by DM Mangan, Shri Anant Jain & all other dignitaries physically participated in segregating the collected Municipal Waste of Mangan .
Swachhata Pledge led by Hon'ble Minister was also done with every one present.
The mission of the event was to send a message on the importance of Source segregation in every household to reduce burden at landfill
A tour of the Newly constructed Material Recovery Facility of the ULB was also done by the Hon'ble Minister & all dignitaries present.
Hon'ble Minister in his brief address acknowledged all the efforts put by the Nagar Panchayat and it's waste management partners in making Mangan garbage managed ULB and urged everyone to keep up the Swachhata drive as a daily chore and a responsibility in one's life.
