Sikkim Badminton Team Set to Participate in North East Zone Inter-State Badminton Championship 2024
The Sikkim Badminton Team is all set to showcase their talent at the upcoming North East Zone Inter-State Badminton Championship 2024. The prestigious tournament will be held in Guwahati, Assam, from September 7 to 10, 2024. The event is being conducted by the Badminton Association of India and is hosted by the Assam Badminton Association.
A total of 24 young shuttlers from Sikkim, representing different age groups ranging from Under-13 to Under-19, will compete in this championship. The team comprises both boys and girls who have been rigorously training and preparing for this event, demonstrating their dedication and commitment to the sport.
The team will be guided by two experienced coaches, Ms. Selina Rai and Mr. Rikesh Rai, who have been instrumental in nurturing and honing the skills of these promising players. Accompanying the team as the manager is Shri Arjun Tamang, whose leadership and support will be crucial during the competition.
The Badminton Association of Sikkim (BAS) extends its best wishes to the entire team, hoping they bring laurels to the state by showcasing their prowess on the badminton court. The association is confident that the shuttlers will make Sikkim proud with their performance in Guwahati.
