Gangtok, August 03 : A Basic Computer Training Course was conducted for the newly appointed staff of the Excise Department, Government of Sikkim, along with existing Excise Subordinate personnel. The training was held at the Administration Training Institute (ATI)from July 29th, 2024, to August 3rd 2024.
The course was attended by 45 newly appointed Office Assistants and 7 existing Excise Subordinate personnel. The main objective of the training was to equip the participants with essential computer skills and familiarize them with the department's online systems.
During the program, participants received hands-on training in basic computer operations. Special emphasis was also placed on understanding and navigating the department's digital systems, enabling the staff to perform their duties more efficiently and effectively.
The training program was part of the Excise Department's ongoing efforts to enhance the digital literacy and operational efficiency of its staff, aligning with the government's vision of a more technologically advanced and digitally empowered workforce.
