Gyalshing, July 30:District Child Protection Unit, Gyalshing successfully conducted an Awareness- cum-sensitisation programme on various Child Rights Legislations at the District Institute of Educational Training, Gyalshing, today.
The programme was graced by Mrs. Parumita Rai, Principal District Institute Educational Training(DIET) Gyalshing, Protection Officer, Mr. Yogesh Nerola, Legal-cum-Probation Officer, Ms. Sangay Choden Bhutia, DCPU Gyalshing, Officials from DCPU and Child Helpline Unit, Gyalshing.
At the onset, Mr. Nawraj Gurung, DA, DCPU Gyalshing thanked Mrs. Parumita Rai, Principal, DIET, Gyalshing for the permission to conduct the session on behalf of DCPU. Protection Officer (I/C), Mr Yogesh Nirola had his session regarding the POCSO Act 2012 and Legal-cum-Probation Officer, Ms Sangay Choden Bhutia addressed the Child Marriage and Child Labour Act. The master of Ceremony was D.A, DCPU (Gyalshing) Mr Nawraj Gurung and the programme ended with an interaction session with the students of DIET, Gyalshing.
