Vice-Chairman, NITI Aayog Arrives at Bagdogra Airport on Official Visit to Sikkim
Siliguri, January 13, 2026 (IPR):
The Vice-Chairman, NITI Aayog, Mr Suman K. Bery, arrived at Bagdogra Airport today on an official visit to Sikkim, scheduled from January 13 to January 16, 2026.
Mr Bery is accompanied by his spouse, Ms Maitreyi Suman Bery, and Member, NITI Aayog, Prof. Ramesh Chand, who are visiting the State to attend a workshop on “Frontier State Development Workshop: Focus on North East.”
During their stay, the delegation will take part in official meetings and programme-related engagements concerning development planning and policy initiatives for frontier and North Eastern States.
Upon arrival, the visiting dignitaries were warmly received by Ms Sharmistha Pradhan, Additional Secretary, Home Department, Bagdogra Unit; Mr Sonam Zangpo, Assistant Director and Liaison Officer; Ms Awkwanama Subba, Under Secretary, Home Department, Gangtok and Liaison Officer, along with officials from STDC and TIC, Bagdogra Unit.
