Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, Mr Suman Bery Visits Swarna Jayanti Maitreya Manjari
Gangtok, January 14 (IPR):Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, Mr Suman K. Bery, accompanied by his spouse Ms Maitreyi Bery, who are on an official visit to the state from January 13 to January 16, 2026, visited the Swarna Jayanti Maitreya Manjari today.
The Swarna Jayanti Maitreya Manjari is a landmark project, commemorating the state’s 50 years of statehood. It was virtually inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, on May 29, 2025. This project features the nation’s largest Cool House Orchidarium and an Orchid Museum, which were visited by the delegation.
The delegation was also accompanied by PS to the Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, Mr A. Muthukumar; Assistant Director-cum-Liaison Officer, DESME, Mr Sonam Zangpo; Under Secretary-cum-Liaison Officer, Home Department (Protocol), Ms Awkwanama Subba; and other officials of the state government.
