Union Railway Minister addresses Railway Budget 2024-25

Gangtok, July 24 (IPR): A Virtual Press Conference on Union Railway Budget 2024-25 for the North-East states of India was organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at the Press Information Bureau, Gangtok.
The conference at the centre was addressed by Mr Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Railways.
The virtual conference in Gangtok was attended by Dr Ibomcha Sharma, Assistant Director, PIB, Gangtok, Mr Sajal Kumar Dam, Programme Executive, Doordarshan, Ms Usha Sharma, Newsreader, All India Radio, Gangtok, media persons from various organisations.
The Union Minister in his address highlighted the projects of the Ministry of Railway and discussed upcoming initiatives under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi. Additionally, he emphasised the Ministry's focus on national railway development and elaborated on the ongoing (New Tracks) of 18 projects and flyover projects.
There shall be 60 stations developed as Amrit stations including
•Arunachal Pradesh, Naharlagun (Itanagar)
•Assam (50) : Amguri, Arunachal, Chaparmukh, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Diphu, Duliajan, Fakiragram Jn., Gauripur, Gohpur, Golaghat, Gosai gaon hat, Guwahati, Haibargaon, Harmuti, Hojai,
Jagi Road, Jorhat Town, Kamakhya Jn, Kokrajhar, Lanka, Ledo, Lumding Jn, Majbat, Makum Jn, Margherita, Mariani Jn, Murkongselek, Naharkatiya, Nalbari, Namrup, Narangi, New Bongaigaon Jn, New Haflong, New Karimganj Jn, New Tinsukia Jn,
