Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Begins Three-Day Visit to Sikkim
Siliguri, September 23 (IPR): Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, Mr Bhagirath Chaudhary, arrived at Bagdogra Airport, today.
The Union Minister of State is on a three-day official visit to Sikkim from 23 to 25 September 2025 as part of the Poorvottar Sampark Setu programme to strengthen agricultural linkages and promote development initiatives in the North-Eastern region.
As per the schedule, the Union Minister of State will attend the inauguration of the newly constructed buildings of the Horticulture Department at Central Agricultural University, Bermoik, South Sikkim. He will also inaugurate the Annual Zonal Workshop 2025 of ICAR–ATARI, Zone VI.
Deputy Director, Horticulture, Soreng District, Mr Subhash Tamang, along with officials from the Home Department and TIC Bagdogra, received the Union Minister at Bagdogra Airport.
