Union Minister Mr Kiren Rijiju Arrives in Mangan District
Mangan, April 30 (IPR): Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Government of India, Mr Kiren Rijiju, arrived in Mangan District today. The Union Minister is on a two-day official visit to North Sikkim.
The Union Minister was received and welcomed at the 107 RCC GREF camp office, Manul, by District Collector, Mangan, Mr Anant Jain, SP Mangan, Mr LB Chettri, Commander, 758 BRYF, Colonel B. Karan Singh, CO 107 RCC Capt. Suraj Lad, and other officers of the district.
The Union Minister was also joined by the Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim, Ms Sarika Pradhan and the Special Secretary, Mr Satyen Pradhan.
The Union Minister was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour by the Mangan district police.
Earlier, the Union Minister was welcomed at the entry point of Mangan District at B2 by SDM Kabi Ms Monika Rai and SDPO Mangan Ms Rinku Wongmu Bhutia.
The Union Minister is also joined in the visit by renowned singer Mr Mohit Chauhan.
The Minister is accompanied by Mr Tarun Dajangju, Additional Private Secretary, along with media officials.
After a brief halt at the Officers’ Mess, the Union Minister proceeded to Lachung.
