Two-Day Masterclass on Filmmaking and Music in Mangan concludes
Mangan, March 28 (IPR): The two-day masterclass on “Understanding Filmmaking and Music – Level Zero”, organised by the District Administration Mangan under the Sikkim Inspires initiative, concluded today at the Conference Hall, DAC Mangan.
The session was conducted by Mr. Anmol Gurung, filmmaker and singer-songwriter Mr Anmol Gurung, along with the founder of ‘The Tashi Show’ Mr Tashi Tseten Lepcha and singer Ms Sonam Ongmu Ethenpa.
The second day’s session was graced by DC Mangan, Mr Anant Jain, along with SDM Mangan, Mr Sandeep Kumar, Accounts Officer Mr Umesh Thapa, and AD IT Mr Muksam Limboo.
The masterclass was attended by students, art and music professionals, content creators and film and music enthusiasts.
DC Mangan Mr Anant Jain, in his address, expressed his gratitude to filmmaker and singer-songwriter Mr Anmol Gurung for conducting the two-day session on “Understanding Filmmaking and Music – Level Zero.”
He stated that the film and music enthusiasts who attended the session were truly fortunate to have access to such a valuable platform and mentorship for learning and refining their skills.
He further added that such learning programmes will help in developing and enhancing skills, enabling individuals to create sustainable livelihoods through their talents.
Concluding his address, he assured that the Government will continue to organise more such impactful programmes and encouraged participants to actively take part in future initiatives.
The second day of the masterclass continued with an engaging workshop on filmmaking and music. Participants were divided into three groups and were assigned the task of performing a skit, which would later be developed into a short film.
On the concluding day, an additional session on podcasting and YouTube content creation was conducted by Mr. Tashi Tseten Lepcha.
Likewise, local Artiste Ms Sonam Ongmu Ethenpa threw light on the nuances of music creation.
At the end of the workshop, the participants were presented with certificates by DC Mangan Mr Anant Jain.
The two-day workshop concluded with the closing remarks by SDM Mangan, Mr Sandeep Kumar.
