Gyalshing, June 23 (IPR):Mr Tshering T Bhutia Minister of State Tourism and Civil Aviation Department inaugurated a newly set-up office of Yuksam based registered tourism organization, Yuksam Tourism Development Committee's (YTDC) office at Yuksam on Saturday during his constituency visit.
Yuksam Tourism Development Committee (YTDC) established in 2009 is an organization of tourism stakeholders of Yuksam-Tashiding whose aim is to promote quality and responsible tourism, provide socio-economic benefits, and protect the ethnic culture of the region.
Inaugural ceremony was also attended by Mr Yogen Syangden SDM Yuksam, Mr Pema G. Bhutia Joint Director-education, Mr Basant Tamang, Mr Tenzing W Bhutia, Range officer, Mr Sonam Palden Denzongpa Advisor YTDC, executive members of Yt, gram Panchayat members Ms Sabita Chettri, Ms Dhan Maya Limboo, Mr Suna Hang Phago among others.
Minister Bhutia was presented with a momentos from the YTDC during the inaugural ceremony. Mr Karzang Bhutia, YTDC president who is also the panchayat vice president of Yuksam-Dubdi GPU, briefed the minister about the organisation and its progress report similarly Mr Sonam Palden Denzongpa the advisory board member apprised the minister on various future plans and tourism related activities of the YTDC.
Minister Tshering T. Bhutia assured the YTDC of his full support for the development and promotion of tourism in the region.
