Gangtok, September 12 (IPR): In continuation of the ongoing Incident Response system during this earthquake and earthquake-induced GLOF and disaster at various locations under Gangtok District, an update regarding the staging area, Ridge Park.
All the resources were stationed at Ridge Park notified as Staging Area under the supervision of SDM Gangtok cum Staging Area Manager.
As per the request received from various incident sites the Staging Area Manager dispersed manpower and resources as under:
• GREF (GENERAL RESERVE ENGINEERING FORCE).
•SDRF ( STATE DISASTER RESPONSE FORCE)
•SAP (SIKKIM ARMED POLICE)
•NDRF(National Disaster Response Force)
• SIKKIM FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICE
• MOTOR VEHICLE DEPARTMENT
•POWER DEPARTMENT
•HOME GUARD AND CIVIL defence
A medical team from STNM HOSPITAL, GANGTOK led by DR. Nitesh Chowan with his team is providing medical facilities in the staging area.
Vehicle services are given by NDRF- one maxivan and one Ambulance.
GREF- one water tanker, one JCB, one Ambulance and one Excavator.
SIKKIM FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICE - 2 fire brigade trucks and one emergency bike
SHRI SATHYA SAI SEVA ORGANISATION SIKKIM- 3 bolero vehicles and one Ambulance.
