THE OCASSION OF 30TH FOUNDATION DAY OF AKHIL SIKKIM KHAS CHETTRI BAHUN KALYAN SANGH

At the grand 30th Foundation Day celebration of the Akhil Sikkim Khas Chettri Bahun Kalyan Sangh, held today at Kyongsa Ground in Gyalshing, a distinguished gathering of eminent figures from the Khas community of Sikkim was honored. These esteemed personalities were felicitated by the Sangh, with Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) bestowing the honors in recognition of their remarkable contributions.
Comprising of individuals from all walks of life who have made outstanding contribution to the community and the state as a whole, the felicitation ceremony stood as a tribute to the contributions of the Khas community’s esteemed members. Honoring individuals from diverse fields such as governance, literature, academia, social work, public service, entrepreneurship, and cultural preservation, the event highlighted their pivotal role in shaping Sikkim’s journey. Among those recognized were scholars, educators uplifting academic standards, social activists driving community welfare, and bureaucrats upholding integrity in governance. Entrepreneurs fostering economic growth and artists safeguarding traditional music, dance were also celebrated for their dedication to cultural preservation.
Presenting the honors, Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) commended the awardees for their unwavering commitment to community progress. He emphasized that their achievements serve as an inspiration for future generations to take pride in their heritage while striving for excellence.
The occasion was met with resounding applause, reflecting the community’s collective pride and gratitude.
