State Prepares for Prime Minister’s Visit
Gangtok, April 22(IPR): The state prepares for the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister, with the ongoing preparations spearheaded under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Mr Prem Singh Tamang.
Adding vibrancy to the occasion, the cultural performance is being coordinated by the Cultural Department under the supervision of Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr Jacob Khaling. The preparations have brought together a diverse pool of artists from across the state, symbolising the unity in diversity that Sikkim represents.
Participants include members from Self Help Groups, All Sikkim Dance Institute Association, along with singers and musicians. The dance presentation titled “1000 Steps of Unity,” with 2000 participants, is set to portray the rich cultural heritage of Sikkim while integrating vibrant pan-India dance traditions.
