Soreng District Celebrates 156th Gandhi Jayanti at DAC Soreng
Soreng, October 2 (IPR): The District Administrative Centre, Soreng, observed the 156th Gandhi Jayanti today with a programme held at the DAC premises.
The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by offering of scarves and prayers before the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, paying homage to the Father of the Nation.
The programme witnessed the presence of District Project Officer (DDMA) Mrs Rajani Pega, Assistant Director (IT) Mr Amir Bhandari, President of Soreng Badminton Association, Mr Amber Gurung, along with officials and staff of the district.
The gathering reflected on Gandhiji’s ideals of truth, non-violence, and simplicity, while reiterating the commitment to carry forward his vision in building a progressive and inclusive society.
