Social Welfare Minister Mr Samdup Lepcha Calls on Union Minister
Mangan, April 30 (IPR): Minister of Social Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim, cum Area MLA Mr Samdup Lepcha, called on Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs, Government of India, Mr Kiren Rijiju at the Army Guest House in Lachung today.
Minister Mr Samdup Lepcha thanked the Union Minister for his visit. He apprised the Union Minister of the developmental initiatives in the district. He also briefed the Union Minister on the challenges faced by the people. He also shared the welfare initiatives of the State Government.
Minister Mr Samdup Lepcha was accompanied by Chairman, Forest Department, Mr Pema Wangyal Lachungpa, Chairman, Medicinal Plants Board, Mr Sonam Gyatso Lachenpa, along with members of the Lachung Dzumsa and local public, reflecting strong community participation in the reception.
Also present were the Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim, Ms Sarika Pradhan, Special Secretary Mr Satyen Pradhan, Chief Engineer Social Justice Department Mr Thinlay Gyatso Bhutia, DC Mangan Mr Anant Jain, SP Mangan Mr LB Chettri, SDM Chungthang Mr Arun Chettri, and SDPO Chungthang Mr Chandan Chhetri.
