Site Visits of the Director From The Chief Minister’s Office to Dzongu

Dzongu (5/12/2025): In a distinguished affirmation of the Government’s unwavering commitment to alleviating public hardships, Shri Sherap Chopel Katuk, Director at the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s Office, undertook an extensive field inspection of key public infrastructure sites today. His itinerary encompassed Bong Kyoung at Shagyong Ward under Lum Gor Sangtok GPU, the flash-flood-devastated Water Reservoir Tank at Takmar Kyoung, Ravong, which serves the Hee Gyathang Power Colony and surrounding settlements, and the Bamboo Suspension Bridge at Bringkatam Ward under Hee Gyathang GPU.
He was accompanied by the Block Development Officer, Dzongu, together with the Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineers, Panchayat representatives, and local residents, forming a coordinated administrative and technical delegation committed to ensuring an accurate and comprehensive evaluation of on-ground conditions. Subsequently, the Divisional Engineer (DE) and Assistant Engineer (AE), PMGSY, Rural Development Department, also joined the visit and apprised the team of the progress of ongoing roads and bridges projects in Bringkatam Ward.
This visit was convened following the earnest and substantive representations made by the Hon’ble Minister-cum-Area MLA, Dzongu, Shri Pintso Namgyal Lepcha, through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). The initiative stands as a powerful testament to the Government’s unwavering resolve to address pressing needs in remote and geographically challenging regions, ensuring that the developmental imperatives of far-flung communities receive due and timely attention.
