Gyalshing, 1st November, 2021(IPR): The Minister of Land Revenue and Disaster Management, Shri Kunga Nima Lepcha along with the Minister of Labor and Power Department cum MLA (Daramdin), Shri M.N Sherpa and MLA (Zoom-Salghari) Smt. Sunita Gajmer visited the under-construction site of Stairway to Heaven (Swarga Janae Seeri) located at Daramdin, West Sikkim. Accompanying them were Additional Chief Secretary (Education), Shri G.P. Upadhyaya, Secretary (Education) Shri. Anil Raj Rai and other Line Department Officials.
Shri Lepcha held a brief meeting with all the officials including the private contractor regarding the work in progress. He showed contentment with the current development but urged the concerned officials to complete the project as per the stipulated time-period.
The team also carried out detailed inspection of the work site and interacted with the concerned officials involved in the project.
The site is considered to be one of its kind monument especially for the Lepcha community
