Mangan, April 1 (IPR): The scrutiny of nominations for General Municipal Election 2026 for Mangan Nagar Panchayat was carried out today in the office of Municipal Returning Officer cum District Collector, Mangan, Mr Anant Jain, in the presence of Secretary, Lokayukta, cum Election Observer for Mangan Nagar Panchayat Election 2026, Ms Kincho Doma Lepcha.
After proper verification of the documents, the nomination papers of all candidates of Mangan Nagar Panchayat were accepted by the Municipal Returning Officer.
The names of the candidates whose nominations were accepted for the General Municipal Election 2026 under Mangan Nagar Panchayat are:
1. Mr Tshering Pintso Saring for 1-Upper Mangan Bazar Ward from the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party.
2. Ms Phurkit Lepcha for 2-Pentok Ward from the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party.
3. Mr Norbu Rinchen Lepcha for the 3-Power Colony Ward from the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party.
4. Mr Hangu Lachenpa for 4-Rinzing Namgyal Marg Ward from the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party.
5. Ms Tshering Doma Bhutia for 5-Lower Mangan Bazar Ward from the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party.
It may be mentioned that the last date for withdrawal of candidature (if any) is April 4, 2026, till 3:00 PM.
