SIR Electoral Rolls Hearings Continue in Soreng District
Soreng, August 6 (IPR): Hearings under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls continued in Soreng district.
The hearings are being conducted by the respective Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) and Additional Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs).
A total of 962 hearings were conducted during the day, including 229 in the 05-Rinchenpong Assembly Constituency, 234 in the 06-Daramdin Assembly Constituency, 335 in the 07-Soreng-Chakung Assembly Constituency and 164 in the 08-Salghari-Zoom Assembly Constituency.
With these proceedings, the cumulative number of hearings conducted across all four Assembly Constituencies in Soreng district has reached 10339.
The District Election Officer (DEO)-cum-DC Soreng, Mr Dhiraj Subedi, is regularly monitoring the progress of the revision exercise and reviewing the functioning of the designated hearing authorities to ensure that all applications are processed efficiently, fairly, and in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India.
It is informed to the concerned public that for 05-Rinchenpong Assembly Constituency, the ERO is SDM Mangalbaria Mr DN Sharma. The AERO and Additional AEROs are BDO Kaluk Mr Dabgyal Lama, BDO Mangalbaria Mr Mandeep Subba and Accounts Officer Ms Meemnam Limboo.
For 06-Daramdin Assembly Constituency, the ERO is SDM (Headquarters) Mr Prem K Subba. The AERO and Additional AEROs are BDO Daramdin Ms Anushuiya Pradhan, Assistant Labour Commissioner Mr Prakash Chandra Subba and Accounts Officer Mr Tara Prasad Sharma.
For 07-Soreng-Chakung Assembly Constituency, the ERO is SDM Soreng Ms Sakchum Lepcha. The AERO and Additional AEROs are BDO Soreng Mr Paru Hang Subba, Deputy Director (Agriculture) Mr Manish Pradhan, and Accounts Officer Mr Bubin Gurung.
For 08-Salghari-Zoom Assembly Constituency, the ERO is ADC Soreng, Mr DR Bista. The AERO and Additional AEROs are BDO Baiguney Ms Pramila Gurung, Deputy Director Mr Subash Tamang, and Assistant Director (IT) Mr Amir Bhandari.
