Rimbi Road Restored and Reopened for Connectivity Following Three-Day Joint Inspection
Gyalshing, September 23 (IPR): Within three days of the spot inspection conducted by the Minister for Roads and Bridges, Government of Sikkim, Mr N.B. Dahal, along with the District Collector, Gyalshing, Engineering Department, Gyalshing and heads of concerned departments, the Rimbi road has been restored and reopened for vehicular connectivity.
The Minister, accompanied by the District Administration and officials from the concerned line departments, had inspected the affected stretch to assess the ground situation and review the restoration requirements. During the inspection, necessary directions were issued to the concerned agencies to undertake immediate measures and restore road connectivity on a priority basis.
Following the directions and coordinated efforts of the concerned departments, restoration works were taken up on an urgent basis, enabling the reopening of the Rimbi road within three days of the inspection.
The restoration has provided significant relief to local residents, commuters and other road users, while facilitating the movement of essential supplies and services in the area.
The District Administration and concerned departments continue to monitor the road condition and will undertake further measures, wherever required, to ensure safe and uninterrupted connectivity.
