Revenue Officials Trained on AgriStack Farmer Registry and Digital Land Records in Pakyong

Pakyong, August 03 (IPR): A training session on AgriStack for Revenue Officers, Revenue Inspectors, Head Surveyor and Revenue Surveyors, across all subdivisions of Pakyong District, was held at the conference hall of District Administrative Centre (DAC) Pakyong, today. The training was chaired by Additional District Collector (Headquarters), Mr Sabindra Rai.
The training aimed to familiarise the officials with the AgriStack Farmer Registry Mobile Application and the process of linking verified farmer details with land records through the digital platform.
During the session, Joint Director, IT Department, Mr Bikram Rai informed that AgriStack serves as a unified digital platform that integrates verified farmer, land and crop data to enable transparent and efficient delivery of government services, agricultural advisories, subsidies and other farmer-centric benefits.
In addition, he also delivered a presentation on "Sikkim's AgriStack Journey: Advancing Digital Agriculture" and highlighted the State's Digital Agriculture Mission, which focuses on developing Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) under the AgriStack initiative through three key components: the Farmer Registry, Geo-referenced Village Maps and the Digital Crop Survey (DCS). The presentation also emphasised on the detailed technical workflows and current implementation progress of these systems in Sikkim.
Furthermore, he briefed the participants on the current progress of AgriStack implementation in Pakyong district and informed that a total of 11,360 farmers have been registered under the Farmer Registry.
Additionally, Assistant Director, IT Department, Mr Harka Lamichaney presented a live demonstration of the application and conducted a hands-on session on the approval workflow, familiarising the participants with its operational procedures.
The training also had the presence of Deputy Director, Agriculture Department, Ms Rebecca Gurung; Agriculture Development Officer, Mr Gagan Gurung and Assistant Director, IT, Mr Nirnai Rai.
