Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Tadong conducts free health camp

Gangtok, 17 Sept (IPR): Under Poshan Maah campaign being observed in the month of September ’19, a free health camp was organised today at the District Administrative Centre in Sichey by Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Tadong, Gangtok, under CCRAS, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.

A total of 201 people availed benefit of the Health Camp and were treated. Patients were investigated for Blood sugar level and Hemoglobin.

Out of 201 patients, 18 patients were found anaemic and necessary medications were given to them during the camp. More than 30 patients were found hyperglycemic (high blood sugar levels).

Free health check up, consultations and free distribution of medicines and IEC (Information, Education, communication) materials was also carried out during the camp. All the officers and staff of the District Administrative Centre and the public visiting the office availed of the facility during the camp.

The health camp was conducted under the guidance of the District Collector, East, Shri Raj Yadav, and Assistant Director In-charge, Dr. Shriprakash, and his team from Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Tadong, Gangtok comprising Dr. Rahul Ghuse, R.O., Dr. Ashok Sinha, R.O., Dr. Ananya Saha, and Mr. L.P. Shrivastva and others.

The camp was successfully concluded at 5 pm.
