Red Panda advances into the semi-finals at the Men’s Invitational Football Tournament
Soreng, August 8 (IPR): Scoring the only goal of today’s quarter-final match by Red Panda against Sikkim Police, the team has advanced into the semi-finals of the ongoing Men’s Invitational Football Tournament here at the Jautar Stadium, Soreng today.
The chief guest for the day was Mr Deepankar Lama Additional Director, Smart City Gangtok. He was accompanied by former Panchayats, DC Soreng, SDMs, District Heads, dignitaries, police personnel along with various association members and public at large.
In his short address, Mr Lama laid down the future development proposals made for Soreng. He further highlighted many progressive plans for the district including the formation of urban and rural local governing bodies to implement varied schemes and policies. He underscored the sustainable goals planned for the development and growth of the community and the district, as envisioned by the Chief Minister, Mr Prem Singh Tamang.
The ongoing district-level inter-department football tournament played today, was won by Land Revenue & Disaster Management Department against MLA (11) with a score of 4 – 1.
At the outset, Ms Mary Gold Lucksom Bazar Officer, UDD, addressed the welcome speech.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks addressed by Mr Mohan Sharma AE, Building and Housing Department.
