Gangtok, December 28: The Culture Department, Government of Sikkim, has been organizing a series of programmes in the State, commemorating 75 years of India’s Independence under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
As a part of this calendar of events, a cultural programme on Bhutia folk dances Denzong Guenkyin Lhopon Gaton as a pre-Losoong/ Namsoong Festival was held at Manan Bhawan, Gangtok, today. The programme was organised involving the local youths from different corners of the State, trained under the guidance of one of senior Bhutia artiste Shri Yangchok Lachungpa, and other Bhutia artistes of the Culture Department
