Press release from the Sanchaman Limboo Government College, Aarigaon, Gyalshing
Gyalshing, 10th September: Sanchaman Limboo Government College Aarigaon, Gyalshing, organised a Swachhta Pakhwada One-Day Cleanliness Drive on 10th September 2026. The programme was organised by the NSS Units of SMLGC Gyalshing in collaboration with the Green Campus Committee of the college.
As part of the cleanliness initiative, cleanliness drives were conducted at 16 department-wise locations across the college campus. The programme aimed to promote cleanliness, environmental responsibility, and active participation among students and members of the college community.
The cleanliness drive was graced by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Bhakta Kunwar, along with the Vice Principal, Dean of Students’ Affairs, Heads of Departments, faculty members, students, SRC members, and non-teaching staff of the college. The active participation of the college community reflected a collective commitment towards maintaining a clean, green, and healthy campus.
The college expressed sincere appreciation to Dr. Thupden Palzang Bhutia, Convenor, Green Campus Committee, and his team, and Mr. Pema Loda Lepcha, Programme Officer, NSS Units, and his team, for taking the initiative and coordinating the cleanliness drive.
Special thanks were also extended to all Heads of Departments, Assistant Professors, faculty members, SRC members, and non-teaching staff for their valuable cooperation and active participation in making the programme successful.
The initiative concluded with a renewed commitment from the college community to maintain cleanliness and promote a sustainable and environmentally responsible campus.
