Preparations for 2nd Aama Samman Diwas Reviewed at Coordination Meeting in Rangpo
Pakyong, August 06 (IPR): A coordination meeting to review preparations for the upcoming 2nd Aama Samman Diwas was held at the Tourist Facilitation Centre, Rangpo, today.
The meeting was held in the presence of Chairman, Sikkim Housing and Development Board and Coordinator for the 2nd Aama Samman Diwas, Mr Karma Tashi Bhutia; Chairman, State Sports Development Board, Mr Ringzing W. Chopel; OSD to the MLA, West Pendam, Mr Bhanu Pradhan; and Mr Sahadev Sharma.
The annual event, scheduled to be held on August 10, is an initiative envisioned by the Chief Minister of Sikkim, Mr Prem Singh Tamang, to honour mothers for their contributions to their families and society.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were carried out on various aspects of the event, including the route plan, security arrangements, drinking water and sanitation facilities, power supply, traffic management, and overall venue preparedness to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
Officials from the concerned departments were briefed on their respective responsibilities and directed to ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks through coordinated efforts.
Also present were President, Rangpo Nagar Panchayat, Mr Sanjeev Kumar Khati; SDM, Rangpo, Mrs Sujata Subba; SDPO, Rangpo, Mr Sameer Pradhan along with officials and representatives from various line departments under the district.
