Pecherek-Hee Patal GPU Organises
Health Check-Up Camp Under Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) in Celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh, Marking the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda

As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), a health check-up camp was successfully organised at Hee Patal today under the Pecherek-Hee Patal Gram Panchayat Unit. The event was held to commemorate Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh, which marks the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the legendary tribal freedom fighter and social reformer.
The programme was chaired by Panchayat President Ms Reeta Subba and was attended by Panchayat Vice President Mr Bishnu Prasad Chettri, along with Panchayat Members Mr Suk Man Limboo and Ms Meemaki Bhutia.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Mr Bishnu Raj Rai (VAA), who greeted the dignitaries and outlined the objectives of the week-long campaign. He emphasised that the Dharti Aaba initiative aims to promote participatory development and holistic empowerment of tribal communities in alignment with the ideals of Birsa Munda.
During the camp, Ms Janu Gurung from Dentam PHC delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), highlighting eligibility criteria and its importance in providing accessible healthcare to marginalized sections. Ms Sujata Chettri also from Dentam PHC, addressed the issue of mental health, stressing the importance of awareness and early care.
Approximately 84 individuals from the Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Common Services Centres(CSC)communities availed the health services provided, which included general health check-ups, ABHA card registration, AB-PMJAY enrolment, and Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening.
The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of Panchayat representatives, AD PRI and PRI functionaries, medical staff from District Hospital Gyalshing, Dentam PHC, PHSC Hee Yangthang, ASHA workers, senior citizens, and local residents.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by PDA Mr ML Subba, who expressed deep appreciation to all stakeholders for their valuable support and active participation, contributing to the success of the camp and the broader mission of DAJGUA.
