Pakyong Hosts District-Level Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Competitions
Pakyong, October 28 (IPR): The District-Level Competition under the aegis of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, organised by the Pakyong District Education Department, was held at the auditorium hall of Pakyong Junior High School today.
The programme aims to create awareness among students about India’s rich cultural heritage and the importance of unity in diversity through a series of engaging activities, while promoting a deeper understanding of the diverse cultures and traditions that make up the nation.
Addressing the gathering, CEO Education Department and Chief Guest of the day, Mr Narayan Mishra, commended the participants for their contribution towards making the event a success. He then highlighted the significance of celebrating “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”, an initiative commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and informed that the programme aims to create a deeper understanding of the diverse cultures, traditions, and practices across various states and union territories and promote national integration and unity.
The event under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat featured participation from schools across six blocks of Pakyong District, showcasing the culture, heritage, and history of Delhi through three competitions — 3D Art, Quiz, and Folk Dance.
Additionally, the winners from each category will represent the district at the state-level competition.
Likewise, the day concluded with a felicitation ceremony for winners of various events, which are as follows:
3D Art Competition
1st position -Aritar Secondary School
2nd position- Amba Secondary School
3rd position- Lower Sumin Secondary School
Quiz Competition
1st position - North Regu Junior High School
2nd position- Damlakha Junior High School
3rd position - Parakha Junior High School
Folk Dance Competition
1st position - Titreybotey Primary School
2nd position- Posakey Primary School
3rd position- Daring Lingchey Primary School
Also present were Joint Directors, Education, Mr NB Subba and Mr Bhakti Pd Sharma; Deputy Directors, Education Department, Mr HN Sengha and Mr Jiwan Kumar Rai; Assistant Director, Education Department cum Nodal Officer for Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Mr Kailash Sharma; AEO Parakha, Mr PS Bhutia, along with Headmasters, teachers, and students from different schools.
