Pakyong District Under-16 Boys Football League 2025 continues with fifth and sixth matches
Pakyong, September 14 (IPR): The Pakyong District Under-16 Boys Football League 2025, organised by the Pakyong District Football Association, is underway at St Xavier’s School Ground, Pakyong. As part of the tournament, the fifth and sixth matches were played today.
The day's event was graced by General Secretary, Sikkim Football Association (SFA), Mr Phurba Sherpa as the chief guest alongside Vice President SFA, Mr Arjun Roka and Treasurer SFA, Ms Susan Bhutia as the guests of honour.
Serving as a platform for young players, the league provides opportunities to showcase talent, gain match experience, and develop teamwork and confidence for higher levels of competition.
The tournament features five teams: Pakyong United Sporting Club (PUSC), Majitar Sporting Club (MSC), Rhenock Sporting Club (RSC), Pendam Football Academy (PFA), and Rhenock Rongli Sports Association (RRSA).
In the fifth match, Rhenock Sporting Club (RSC) faced Rhenock Rongli Sports Association (RRSA), where RRSA won 3-0.
Master Sumiran Chettri from RRSA was declared Man of the Match.
Likewise, the sixth match featured Majitar Sporting Club (MSC) against Pendam Football Academy (PFA), where PFA secured a win 4-2 and Master Anup Poudyal from PFA was named Man of the Match.
The league will continue with further matches leading up to the final on September 27, providing young players with opportunities to display their skills and competitive spirit.
