Pakyong District Records Over 72% Enumeration Form Distribution Under SIR Exercise
Pakyong, June 7 (IPR): Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in Pakyong district are continuing door-to-door outreach under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, with efforts focused on reaching senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PwDs), and residents living in remote areas.
According to the SIR status report as of today, Pakyong district has distributed 60,059 Enumeration Forms (EFs) out of a total electorate of 83,111, recording an overall distribution rate of 72.26 per cent. A total of 1,962 forms have also been digitised.
Among Assembly Constituencies, 20-Chujachen recorded the highest EF distribution at 79.87 percent, with 14,995 forms distributed out of 18,774 electors. 22-Namcheybung followed with 76.60 per cent, while 21-Gnathang-Machong recorded 74.93 per cent coverage. 19-Rhenock registered 71.06 percent, and 18-West Pendam recorded 58.09 percent distribution.
Alongside the numbers, BLOs have been making household visits to ensure that voters who are unable to travel are not left out of the process. In several locations, BLOs travelled on foot to reach senior citizens and PwD voters and assisted them in completing Enumeration Forms at their homes.
Officials said follow-up visits are also being carried out in areas where voters were unavailable during the first round of visits. The exercise, they said, is aimed at ensuring that all eligible voters are covered during the revision process.
The SIR exercise in Pakyong district continues with field teams working across constituencies to complete the distribution and digitisation of Enumeration Forms.
