One Day Workshop on Collection and Compilation of Village and Town Directory Data Held at Gyalshing
Gyalshing, August 14 (IPR): A one day workshop on the Collection and Compilation of Village and Town Directory Data for the District Census Handbook, 2027 was held today at the Conference Hall, District Administrative Centre, Gyalshing.
The workshop was chaired by the Additional District Collector, Gyalshing, Mr Suresh Rai and was attended by SI Directorate of Census Operations, Mr Pravesh Rai; Bazar Inspector, Mr Kesangla Sherpa; HR, Ms Bina Kharel; ARS from different divisions, officials and field level functionaries associated with the Census operations including officials from the Land Revenue Department and Technical Assistants.
The workshop was organised as part of the ongoing preparations for Census 2027, which focused on the collection, compilation and verification of Village and Town Directory data. The data covers various aspects relating to villages and towns including information on land use and other relevant details required for the preparation of the District Census Handbook.
Addressing the chair, Mr Suresh Rai gave a brief welcome and outlined the purpose and significance of the workshop.
The workshop provided a platform for the concerned officials and field functionaries to understand the requirements for collection and compilation of the prescribed Village and Town Directory data and also to review the ongoing fieldwork.
