Official Launch of E-Office Web Application of Tourism and Civil Aviation Department
Gangtok, June 24 (IPR): Minister, Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, Mr Tshering T. Bhutia, officially launched the e-office web application for all official work processes of the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department today at his office.
Addressing the press, the Minister stated that the e-office system has been launched under the direction of the Chief Minister, Mr Prem Singh Tamang, to ensure efficient, transparent, and hassle-free public service delivery.
Explaining the functioning of the e-office, he said that once a document is scanned and uploaded to the portal, the real-time status of the proposal can be tracked and monitored. He commended the Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, Mr Raj Kumar Yadav, for successfully implementing the initiative within the department.
Highlighting the benefits of the web application, the Minister said that it is a time-saving initiative that enables concerned officers to review proposals and take necessary action digitally. He further informed that the platform seamlessly connects district tourism offices with the head office, and that Tourism Information Centres will also be integrated into the system in the coming days.
Concluding his address, the Minister stated that the initiative reflects the department’s commitment to embracing modern digital governance and adapting to the ever-evolving digital era.
