Nutrition cell, Gangtok district marked the closing of three days anemia camp at Singtam Bazaar
The camp was attended by Assistant Director Ms.Jyotshna Khatiwara, CDPO Ms.Lhamit Lepcha , and Nutrition educator Ms. Sumira Sharma ,supervisor Ms.Yamuna Rai, alongwith Lab technician from Singtam district Hospital, AWW and AWH.
The identified anaemic individuals from all three projects were given a Nutri hamper containing a rich source of iron to increase their HB content and curb existing anaemia.
This is an intensive camp led by the department to decrease the prevalence of anaemia in the state. Likewise , the same camp would be conducted in all the districts.
