North East States Brainstorm Innovation And Entrepreneurship As the Two Day Workshop Concludes

Gangtok November 13 (IPR):
The second day of workshop on "Building Innovation & Start-up Ecosystem for North East" organised by the NITI Aayog in collaboration with Planning and Development Department was held at a local hotel in Gangtok, today.
The programme had the presence of Dr Chintan Vaishnav, Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) at NITI Aayog, Government of India, Mr Subhrangshu Sanyal, CEO, IMM Calcutta, Innovation Park, and entrepreneurs from different states of the North-East India.
The crucial concept of the two-day workshop, which was inagurated on November 12, 2024, is engaging stakeholders-policymakers, entrepreneurs, investors and support organisations in overcoming the challenges and barriers fostering a thriving startup environment across North-East India.
The concluding day of the workshop started with a session regarding Insights on Startup Ecosystem of North East by Mr Subhrangshu Sanyal.
A collaborative brainstorming session followed. All the participating states of Sikkim, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh engaged actively on Inter State Innovation & Entrepreneurship Drive across all the North East and placed diverse innovative startup ideas in the interaction session.
The North Eastern States also showcased presentations on bringing together entrepreneurs to inspire innovation in groundbreaking technology.
It is worthwhile to mention that the expected outcome of "Building Innovation & Start-up Ecosystem for North East" are:
*Comprehensive understanding of the current policy landscape affecting startups in North East India,
*Enhance collaboration between startups and policymakers, and
*set up of actionable policy recommendations aimed at fostering a supportive startup ecosystem and identification of strategies for economic growth and employment generation.
