Mangan, March 17 (IPR): A clean-up drive was successfully conducted at Chungthang Bazaar today in the esteemed presence of Minister cum Area MLA Mr Samdup Lepcha.
The initiative witnessed active participation from the public, who came together to clear debris and waste from the market area, demonstrating a strong sense of unity and collective responsibility towards maintaining cleanliness in the town.
The Minister was accorded a warm welcome by the Chungthang Bazaar community in the presence of former Panchayat President Mr Lendup Lepcha, Zilla Panchayat Member Ms. Pasangkit Lepcha, and members of the Gram Panchayat Unit of 15-Chungthang GPU.
During the visit, he also had the opportunity to interact with local residents and appreciated their efforts in promoting cleanliness and community participation. He commended the initiative and encouraged continued public involvement in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
Later, the Minister visited the Chungthang Gurudwara, where he offered prayers for peace and prosperity of the region.
