Gyalshing, 10th December, 2019 (IPR): The Hon’ble Minister-cum-Area MLA Gyalshing Bermiok Shri. L. N. Sharma inaugurated the Domestic Fish Market under the Directorate of Fisheries at Kyongsa, West Sikkim. The Hon’ble Minister was accompanied by Shri. D. B. Gurung, Chairman (SBS); Shri. Sunil Pradhan, Director Fisheries, Addl. Director AH&VS Shri. S. Pradhan; Addl. Dir. AH&VS Shri. N. Cintury and Shri. L. Tamang, Asst. Dir. Fisheries.

The Hon’ble Minister and Chairman SBS inspected the cold storage and other components of the building. He then interacted with the public and the Fish farm owners who had come to the program. He urged them to continue the supply and gave his best wishes for their new endeavors.
HM in his address to the gathering expressed his delight to be present for the event and encouraged the beneficiaries of Pisciculture who were going through fish production training.

HM further expressed his gratitude towards HCM P. S Tamang (Golay) , for his visionary leadership. HM stressed that the Chief Minister’s main focus has always been on Agriculture Sector hence the Chief Minister of Sikkim is keen to help the rural farming community and uplift them in order to produce more organic products and raise the standards of Sikkim’s Green Economy.

The Hon’ble Minister also talked on fish-farming and it’s benefits, further he mentioned that the co-operative sectors will provide aid through government for the said project. HM also talked about the ‘Trout fish’ and it’s medical benefits and it’s popularity, demand and market value.
Present Government is a far sighted and visionary which cannot distinguish between opposition & position, it will always support those who willing to work for the state & willing to achieve a great platform.
HM Sharma requested the beneficiaries to not take this fish-farming for granted and put all efforts to uplift the State Fisheries Department as well as self income.

HM Sharma also invited the public present to join the day after tomorrow’s event of ‘Teyongsi Sirijunga Sawan Tongnam’ which is being celebrated at Martam West Sikkim where HCM will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.
