Member of Parliament Lok Sabha Chairs DISHA Committee Meeting of Gyalshing District

The District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee, DISHA meeting for Gyalshing district was held at the Conference Hall, Gyalshing District Zilla Panchayat, situated in Kyongsa, Gyalshing district,today.
Dr Indra Hang Subba, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha-Cum-Chairman DISHA Committee chaired the meeting, accompanied by Zilla Adhakshya Gyalshing Mr Ds Limboo , Zilla Upa-Adhakshya Gyalshing Ms Anita Rai, MLA Maneybung-Dentam Constituency Mr Sudesh Kumar Subba, District Collector Gyalshing- Cum -Member Secretary DISHA Mr Tenzing D Denzongpa, ADC (Dev)Gyalshing Mr Surat Kumar Gurung, Additional Chief Engineer (Power)Ms KSC Tongden Lepcha,CEO Mr Pema G Bhutia,Additional Director Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Mr BB Subba,CMO(District Hospital Gyalshing) Dr Namgay Bhutia, BDOs (Chongrang/Yuksam/Martam/ Dentam and Gyalshing), DPO Zilla GDZP Mr Pem Dorjee Bhutia, Heads of Offices from line departments, panchayat representatives and stakeholders.
In the meeting, the Head of Offices and representatives of the departments, along with the stakeholders, through an illustrative and interactive presentation, sequentially shared requisite data on achievements, aspirations and hindrances that emerged during the implementation of flagship schemes of the Central Government in the district.
Dr Subba, MP Lok Sabha-Cum-Chairman DISHA, underlined the importance of conducting meeting was to assess the needed intervention to enhance the cause of the committee. He mentioned that such meetings are crucial for inculcating efficiency while addressing the issues that are hindering the aspirations of the committee.
Chairman DISHA underscored the need for effective inter-departmental coordination to devise a collective approach for eradicating the pertinent issues hindering the saturation of Central Government schemes in the district. He advised members of the committee to consider progress-oriented data at the meeting and motivated to work in a parallel tandem.
Chairman urged line departments to prioritise the issues emerged at the Block Administrative Centres and Village Administrative Centres of the district to ascertain timely address. He assured on extending his unconditional support and encouraged to work collectively on the vision of 'Viksit Sikkim, Viksit Bharat'.
District Collector-Cum-Member Secretary DISHA Gyalshing district, reviewed and summarised the agendas upheld in the previous meeting by the Committee. He emphasised inculcating a shared approach for achieving saturation in the indicators of implementation by the departments and stakeholders of the DISHA Committee in the district.
The Member Secretary maintained on making Gyalshing district a vibrant district and encouraged stakeholders to inculcate the essence of 'Team Gyalshing'. He even mentioned the issues that emerged in the district because of the NHIDCL and mentioned that its persistent effects had hindered the vision of Viksit Sikkim, Viksit Bharat.
ADC (Dev.) Gyalshing, during his welcome address to the esteemed dignitaries of the committee, informed on the updated guidelines of the Ministry. He shared that the official circular had mandated to induct the Zilla Panchayat members, Gyalshing Nagar Panchayat, Panchayat presidents from each block, female representatives from the ST Community and NGOs.
ADC (Dev.) Gyalshing also mentioned that newly inducted members will be an integral part of the Impact Assessment Committee, with the responsibility of collecting feedback and assessing the data on the implementation of the schemes in the district.
Chairperson DISHA, Zilla Adhakshya Gyalshing and Member Secretary collectively engaged in a constructive discussion with the members and stakeholders of the committee.
Queries raised by the members and stakeholders were addressed with viable suggestions to further strengthen the aspirations of the DISHA Committee meeting for Gyalshing district.
